Medical Aesthetic Trends for Men: ‘Brotox’, Jawline and Hair Mesotherapy

For many years, the concepts of aesthetics and beauty were identified only with women. However, in the 21st century, this taboo has been completely shattered. Today, men care for their physical appearance at least as much as women do, fighting signs of aging and desiring a more dynamic image.

The competitive environment in business life, the power of social media, and the impact of personal care on self-confidence have turned men into loyal regulars of medical aesthetic clinics. According to data from Dr. Andan Clinic, the number of male patients applying for aesthetic procedures is increasing exponentially every year.

The most fundamental difference between male aesthetics and female aesthetics lies in the “target” and “technique.” While smoother, curved, and soft lines are targeted in women, the goal in men is “masculinization”—strengthening masculine features while preserving them.

Our male patients generally carry concerns such as “let it not be obvious that I had an aesthetic procedure,” “let my expression not be distorted,” and “let me not look feminine.” Dr. Andan Clinic aims to provide men with a charismatic, vigorous, and confident expression through “Brotox” (Male Botox), Jawline Filler, and hair treatments specially planned for male anatomy.

Brotox: A Specialized Botox Application for Men

Men’s muscle structure is much stronger and their skin is thicker compared to women. Additionally, the eyebrow structure in men is flat; a curved (raised) eyebrow like in women leads to an undesirable (feminine/surprised) appearance in men. For this reason, the Botox procedure performed on men is referred to in the literature as “Brotox” (Brother + Botox).

The subtleties of the Brotox application at Dr. Andan Clinic are as follows:

  • Dosage Adjustment: Higher doses are used compared to women to relax strong male muscles.

  • Preserving Expressions: The goal is not to completely flatten the forehead (to make it “glass-like”). Leaving slight lines on a man’s face adds depth to his character. The goal is to open deep furrows and erase the tired expression.

  • Eyebrow Position: The middle part and the tail of the eyebrows are not lifted; the flat line is preserved. Thus, the individual gains a sharper, more determined, and vigorous gaze.

Brotox is indispensable for men not only for wrinkles but also for the treatment of excessive sweating. Sweat stains on shirts and the hesitation to shake hands in social settings become a thing of the past with underarm and hand Botox.

A Strong and Masculine Chin with Jawline Filler

The symbol of attractiveness and power in a man’s face is a prominent and angular jawline. When looking at the facial features of Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt or Henry Cavill, it is evident how strong jawbones define facial character.

However, in men whose chin is genetically receded, whose jawline is soft, or whose jowl becomes prominent due to weight gain, the face may appear rounder and more boyish.

Jawline Filler is the process of defining the jaw corners and projecting the chin tip forward without the need for surgery. With this procedure performed using hard hyaluronic acid fillers:

  • The jawline becomes sharper, clearly separating the face from the neck.

  • The face attains a more square and masculine form.

  • The appearance of the jowl is camouflaged.

  • Disproportions in the profile (side) view are corrected.

The procedure takes approximately 20 minutes, the results are seen instantly, and it allows male patients to return to their social lives immediately.

Hair Mesotherapy: Do Not Lose Your Power

The “Achilles’ heel” of men regarding aesthetics is undoubtedly their hair. Genetic (Androgenetic) hair loss is a process that affects 80% of men. The thinning of hair and the opening of the crown area can make a man look 10 years older than he is.

Although hair transplantation is a last resort, as Dr. Andan Clinic, our priority is to protect existing hair. Hair Mesotherapy and PRP treatments slow down hair loss and thicken hair strands by nourishing hair follicles with vitamins and growth factors. Especially for patients who have had a hair transplant, mesotherapy is essential to nourish the transplanted follicles and perfect the result.

In the modern world, grooming is a necessity independent of gender. A man who looks after himself and appears dynamic and fresh is always one step ahead, both in job interviews and in his private life.

Dr. Andan Clinic is a reliable partner in male aesthetics, with an approach that understands the sensitivities of its male patients, remains loyal to confidentiality principles, and produces natural results. Discover the power of small touches to refresh your charisma.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will it be obvious at work that I've had Botox?

The aim of the ‘Brotox’ technique is naturalness. Your face will not appear frozen; you will simply look more rested and refreshed. Those around you will notice a change (‘You look well-rested,’ ‘Did you go on holiday?’ etc.), but they will not usually realise you have had Botox.

No, the filler procedure is performed under the skin (on the bone). Beard roots, however, are located in the upper layer of the skin. Therefore, it does not prevent you from shaving, growing a beard, or undergoing laser hair removal.

Male patients may generally be a little more apprehensive about needle-based procedures. However, at Dr. Andan Clinic, maximum comfort is ensured thanks to the strong anaesthetic creams and cold application techniques used before the procedure. The procedures are quite quick and tolerable.

If the hair follicle is completely dead (i.e. the area is completely bald), mesotherapy will not produce new hair growth; in this case, hair transplantation is required. However, if the hair has thinned, weakened and is in the process of falling out, mesotherapy revitalises the follicles and reverses the process.

It is not recommended to lift heavy weights (fitness) or do intense cardio for the first 24 hours after jawline or other filler procedures. Increased blood pressure can increase swelling. You can return to your normal exercise routine the next day.
